The San Antonio Brahmas signed wide receivers Greg Ward and Racey McMath on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Greg Ward is five foot eleven and weighs 186 pounds. The 29-year-old from Tyler, Texas, signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2017. He spent two seasons on Philadelphia’s practice squad as the Eagles won Super Bowl LII in 2018.
In 2019, he played for the San Antonio Commanders (AAF) making 22 catches for 214 yards, four carries for 14 yards, nine punt returns for 135 yards, and one touchdown in eight games before the league folded.
Ward re-signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on April 9, 2019. He played three seasons in Philadelphia making 88 catches for 768 yards, 10 touchdowns, three carries for one yard, and completed 2 of 3 passes (66.7%) for 17 yards in 40 games, of which 13 were starts.
In 2023, Ward made eight catches for 82 yards, and two punt returns for seven yards in two preseason games. He spent most of the season on the practice squad. The Indianapolis Colts signed Ward on August 14, 2024. In 2024, he made two catches for 16 yards. The Colts released him on August 25, 2024.
Collegiately, Ward played four seasons at Houston (2013-16) as a quarterback completing 747 of 1,106 passes (67.5%) for 8,705 yards, 52 touchdowns, 26 interceptions, 558 carries for 2,375 yards, 39 touchdowns, 25 catches for 228 yards, and two touchdowns in 49 games for the Cougars. He was named a two-time Second Team All-AAC.
In the 2015 American Athletic Conference championship game against the Temple Owls. Ward completed 11 of 21 passes (52.4%) for 88 yards, 17 carries for 148 yards, and two touchdowns, helping the Cougars win the AAC championship.
The Cougars played in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, where Ward completed 25 of 41 passes (61%) for 238 yards, one touchdown, one interception, 20 carries for 67 yards, and two touchdowns in a 38-24 win over the Florida State Seminoles. Wards was named Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Offensive MVP.
Racey McMath is six foot three and weighs 217 pounds. The 25-year-old from New Orleans, Louisiana, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round (205th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in Tennessee making four catches for 48 yards, one carry for four yards, and made seven tackles (2 solos, 5 assists) in 14 games.
In 2023, McMath made four catches for 69 yards and made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in three preseason games. The Titans released him on August 29, 2023. The Indianapolis Colts signed McMath on August 31, 2023. He spent several weeks on the practice squad before the Colts released him on October 17, 2023.
The Dallas Cowboys signed McMath on January 4, 2024. In 2024, McMath made five catches for 80 yards and made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in three preseason games. The Cowboys released him on August 27, 2024.
Collegiately, McMath played four seasons at LSU (2017-20) making 33 catches for 522 yards, and four touchdowns in 34 games, of which six were starts for the Tigers.
