The Ottawa Redblacks re-signed defensive lineman Ronheen Bingham on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Ronheen Bingham is six foot two and weighs 242 pounds. The 29-year-old from Bennettsville, South Carolina, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on October 31, 2022. He played two games making one tackle before the Ticats released him on November 7, 2022.
Bingham signed with the Houston Gamblers (USFL) in 2023. In 2023, Bingham made 24 tackles (11 solo, 13 assists), five tackles for loss, and four sacks in 10 games.
In 2024, the Gamblers were rebranded as the Roughnecks. Bingham made 23 tackles (11 solo, 12 assists), four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one pass breakup in 10 games. The Roughnecks released him on August 15, 2024. The Ottawa Redblacks signed Bingham on September 10, 2024, and spent the season on the practice squad.
Collegiately, Bingham played two seasons at Hutchinson Community College (2015-16) making 110 tackles (29 solo, 81 assists), 25.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, and one pass breakup in 20 games for the Blue Dragons.
Then, Bingham transferred to Arkansas State (2017-18) making 87 tackles (37 solo, 50 assists), 26.5 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 25 games for the Red Wolves. He was named First Team All-Sun Belt in 2018 and Second Team All-Sun Belt in 2017.
