The Toronto Argonauts re-signed kicker Alfredo Gachuz Lozada on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Alfredo Gachuz Lozada is five foot ten and weighs 225 pounds. The 25-year-old from Mexico re-signed with the Toronto Argonauts on December 8, 2023. In 2024, Lozada had six kickoffs for 381 yards (63.5 AVG) with a long of 64 yards, made 3 of 3 field goals (100%) with a long of 35 yards, and made one extra point in two preseason games. He spent the 2024 season on the practice squad. The Argonauts released him on November 18, 2024.

The Toronto Argonauts drafted Lozada in the first round (9th pick) in the 2023 CFL Global Draft. In 2023, Lozada played one game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders converting 3 of 4 field goals (75%) with a long of 33 yards and making two of three extra points.

Lozada played for the Naucalpan Raptors of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional (LFA) and led the league in scoring five times and was named a two-time all-star.
