The Penn State Nittany Lions (11-1) hosted the Maryland Terrapins (4-8) on Saturday afternoon from Beaver Stadium in the regular season finale.
Penn State had 412 yards on offense (193 yards passing, 219 yards rushing), and 25 first downs in a 44-7 win over the Terrapins. With Ohio State’s loss to Michigan, Penn State will play the Oregon Ducks next Saturday for the Big Ten Championship.
Quarterback Drew Allar completed 17 of 26 passes (65.4%) for 171 yards, one touchdown, seven carries for 23 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Nicholas Singleton had 13 carries for 87 yards, two touchdowns, and three catches for 17 yards.
Tight end Tyler Warren made six catches for 68 yards, and one touchdown, while Tyseer Denmark made one catch for 15 yards, and one touchdown. Penn State’s defense made 66 tackles, six tackles for loss, six sacks, three interceptions, and one pass breakup.
Maryland had 194 yards on offense (122 yards passing, 72 yards rushing), and 13 first downs. Quarterback M.J. Morris completed 14 of 24 passes (58.3%) for 112 yards, one touchdown, three interceptions, and 8 carries for -34 yards. Running back Roman Hemby had 13 carries for 34 yards and three catches for 20 yards.
Wide receiver Tai Felton made four catches for 27 yards, while Kaden Prather made one catch for 25 yards, and one touchdown. Maryland’s defense made 83 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and one pass breakup.
