Temple had 345 yards on offense (268 yards passing, 77 yards rushing), and 16 first downs in a 24-17 loss to the Mean Green. They finish the season on a two-game losing streak.
Temple quarterback Evan Simon completed 27 of 44 passes (61.4%) for 268 yards, one interception, six carries for -11 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Joquez Smith had 8 carries for 39 yards, one touchdown, and one catch for two yards.
Wide receiver John Adams made four catches for 63 yards, while Ashton Allen made six catches for 62 yards. Temple’s defense made 64 tackles, seven tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, and five pass breakups.
North Texas had 433 yards on offense (180 yards passing, 253 yards rushing), and 18 first downs. Quarterback Chandler Morris completed 21 of 40 passes (53%) for 180 yards, one touchdown, and two carries for 17 yards. Running back Makenzie McGill II had 14 carries for 155 yards, two touchdowns, and one catch for three yards.
Wide receiver D.T. Sheffield made four catches for 47 yards, and one touchdown, while Blair Conwright made three catches for 41 yards. North Texas’s defense made 67 tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
