The Memphis Showboats signed defensive back Jason Maitre on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Jason Maitre is five foot ten and weighs 188 pounds. The 24-year-old from Everett, Massachusetts, signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2024. In 2024, he made seven tackles (7 solos) in three preseason games. The Dolphins released him on August 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Maitre played five seasons at Boston College (2018-22) making 133 tackles (86 solos, 47 assists), 9 tackles for loss, four sacks, three interceptions for 10 yards, one touchdown, 22 pass breakups, and one punt return for six yards in 44 games for the Eagles.
Then, Maitre transferred to Wisconsin in 2023 making 33 tackles (24 solos, 9 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception for 19 yards, and four pass breakups in 12 games for the Badgers.
