The Montreal Alouettes re-signed running back Sean Thomas-Erlington, wide receiver Jose Barbon, and defensive back Najee Murray on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Sean Thomas-Erlington is five foot nine and weighs 217 pounds. The 32-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, signed with the Montreal Alouettes on February 13, 2024. In 2024, Thomas-Erlington had 23 carries for 125 yards, five catches for 42 yards, and five kick returns for 114 yards in five games.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats drafted Erlington in the eighth round (66th pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft. In six seasons in Hamilton, Erlington has 207 carries for 1,258 yards, seven touchdowns, 71 catches for 719 yards, four touchdowns, and 25 kick returns for 498 yards in 64 games.

In 2023, he had 16 carries for 88 yards, one touchdown, eight catches for 88 yards, one touchdown, and six kick returns for 92 yards in 11 games. He became a free agent after the 2023 season.

Collegiately, Erlington played four seasons at the University of Montreal (2013-16) with 253 carries for 1,405 yards, 16 touchdowns, 51 catches for 543 yards, and five touchdowns in 28 games for the Carabins. In 2014, he helped the Carabins win the 50th Vanier Cup over McMaster 20-19.

Jose Barbon is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from Havana, Cuba, and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, signed with the Montreal Alouettes on January 4, 2024. He made six catches for 45 yards, and one touchdown in two preseason games to earn a spot on the practice squad. In 2024, Barbon made three catches for 17 yards in two games. The Alouettes released him on November 10, 2024.

Barbon signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He played three preseason games with one catch for six yards. The Calgary Stampeders signed Barbon on October 9, 2023, and was placed on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Barbon played four seasons at Temple (2019-22) with 138 catches for 1,608 yards (38.3 AVG/G), four touchdowns, three carries for 34 yards, one kick return for three yards, and four punt returns for four yards in 42 games for the Owls. He earned All-AAC Honorable Mention in 2022.

Najee Murray is five foot eight and weighs 194 pounds. The 30-year-old from Steubenville, Ohio, re-signed with the Alouettes on January 20, 2024. In 2024, Murray made 44 tackles in 11 games. In 2023, he made 33 tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble in six games helping the Alouettes win the 110th Grey Cup over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Murray signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent on May 15, 2017. In 2017, he made two tackles (2 solos) in four preseason games. The Montreal Alouettes signed Murray as a free agent on April 25, 2018. In six seasons, Murray has made 163 tackles, six tackles on special teams, one sack, seven interceptions, and two forced fumbles in 47 games.

Collegiately, Murray played one season at Ohio State in 2012 with three tackles (3 solos) in six games for the Buckeyes. Then, he transferred to Kent State (2014-16) with 101 tackles (72 solos, 29 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions for 23 yards, 28 pass breakups, one forced fumble, four fumble recoveries, and one blocked kick in 31 games for the Golden Flashes. He was named First Team All-MAC in 2016.
