Arlington Renegades sign three players including tight end Curtis Hodges

The Arlington Renegades signed tight end Curtis Hodges, wide receiver Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi, and defensive tackle Kyon Barrs on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Curtis Hodges is six foot eight and weighs 240 pounds. The 25-year-old from Mesa, Arizona, signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022. In 2022, he made three catches for 11 yards in one preseason game. He was placed on injured reserve with a thigh injury and missed the rest of the season.

In 2023, he made two catches for 14 yards in two preseason games. He was placed on injured reserve with a back injury and missed the rest of the season. The Carolina Panthers signed Hodges on August 1, 2024. He suffered another injury and did not play in the preseason. The Panthers released him on August 13, 2024.

Collegiately, Hodges played five seasons at Arizona State (2017-21) making 36 catches for 601 yards, four touchdowns, two punt returns for 29 yards, and two blocked punts in 41 games for the Sun Devils. He was named an All-PAC 12 Honorable Mention and the Levi Jones Most Improved Player by Herm Edwards.

Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi is six foot and weighs 181 pounds. The 29-year-old from Orlando, Florida, signed with the Cleveland Browns on April 5, 2019. In 2019, he made three catches for 21 yards, one kick return for 26 yards, six punt returns for 116 yards, and one touchdown in four preseason games. The Browns released him on August 31, 2019.

Sheehy-Guiseppi also spent time with the Alphas (TSL) and the New York Guardians (XFL) in 2020, and the Ottawa Redblacks in 2021. In 2022, he was set to play for the Arkansas Attack (MLF) but the league canceled the season. In 2023, he played for the Legnano Frogs (Italian Football League) leading the league in receptions, yards, and receiving touchdowns on his way to being named the Offensive Player of the Year.

Collegiately, Sheehy-Guiseppi played two seasons at Phoenix College (2015-16) making three catches for 26 yards, 25 carries for 148 yards, one touchdown, 39 kick returns for 1,278 yards, four touchdowns, 26 punt returns for 400 yards, and two touchdowns in 11 games for the Bears. He was named NJCAA All-American in 2016.

Kyon Barrs is six foot two and weighs 290 pounds. The 23-year-old from Murrieta, California, signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on August 7, 2024. In 2024, Barrs made three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in three preseason games. The Seahawks released Barrs on September 3, 2024.

Collegiately, Barrs played four seasons at Arizona (2019-22) making 102 tackles (50 solos, 52 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks in 38 games for the Wildcats. He was named Second Team All-PAC 12 in 2021. Then, Barrs transferred to USC in 2023 making 18 tackles (7 solos, 11 assists) in 13 games for the Trojans.
