The Penn State Nittany Lions (11-2) took on the Oregon Ducks (13-0) on Saturday night in the Big Ten Championship Game from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Penn State had 518 yards on offense (226 yards, 292 yards rushing), and 28 first downs in a 45-37 loss to the Ducks. Penn State will now wait to see where they will finish in the rankings and who they will play in the CFP Playoffs.
Quarterback Drew Allar completed 20 of 39 passes (51.3%) for 226 yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions, five carries for 54 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Kaytron Allen had 14 carries for 124 yards, one touchdown, and three catches for 15 yards.
Tight end Tyler Warren made seven catches for 84 yards, while Harrison Wallace III made four catches for 59 yards and one touchdown, Nicholas Singleton made four catches for 43 yards, one touchdown, and 10 carries for 105 yards, and Omari Evans made one catch for 22 yards, and one touchdown. Penn State’s defense made 74 tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, and four pass breakups.
Oregon had 466 yards on offense (283 yards passing, 183 yards rushing), and 25 first downs. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel completed 22 of 32 passes (69%) for 283 yards, four touchdowns, and six carries for 17 yards. Running back Jordan James had 20 carries for 87 yards, two touchdowns, and three catches for 20 yards.
Wide receiver Tez Johnson made 11 catches for 181 yards, and one touchdown, while Kenyon Sadiq made two catches for 30 yards and two touchdowns, and Terrance Ferguson made three catches for 30 yards, and one touchdown. Oregon’s defense made 56 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, and four pass breakups.
