The St. Louis Battlehawks are set to sign wide receiver Sam Wiglusz on Saturday according to Pro Football Newsroom writer James Larsen.
Sam Wiglusz is six foot and weighs 183 pounds. The 25-year-old from Brecksville, Ohio, signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2024. In 2024, Wiglusz made three catches for 36 yards in two preseason games to earn a spot on the practice squad. The Rams released him on October 31, 2024.
Collegiately, Wiglusz played three seasons at Ohio State (2019-21) making three catches for 25 yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in nine games for the Buckeyes. Then, he transferred to Ohio (2022-23) making 129 catches for 1,537 yards, 14 touchdowns, three carries for 24 yards, five kick returns for 76 yards, 12 punt returns for 32 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 26 games for the Bobcats.
In 2022, Wiglusz made 73 catches for 877 yards, 11 touchdowns, two carries for 23 yards, four kick returns for 61 yards, 12 punt returns for 32 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 14 games. In 2023, Wiglusz made 56 catches for 660 yards, three touchdowns, one carry for one yard, and one kick return for 15 yards in 12 games. He was named a two-time First Team All-MAC and Second Team Academic All-America.
