The Edmonton Elks signed wide receiver Corey Crooms Jr. on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Corey Crooms Jr. is six foot and weighs 195 pounds. The 23-year-old from Country Club Hills, Illinois, signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, Crooms Jr. suffered a lower leg injury and was released on August 8, 2024.
Collegiately, Crooms Jr. played four seasons at Western Michigan (2019-22) making 115 catches for 1,766 yards, 12 touchdowns, three carries for one yard, two tackles (2 solos), and one fumble recovery in 42 games for the Broncos. Then, he transferred to Minnesota in 2023 making 28 catches for 376 yards, and two punt returns for 13 games for the Golden Gophers.
