Jackson Mitchell is six foot two and weighs 235 pounds. The 23-year-old from Ridgefield, Connecticut, signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in one preseason game.
The Panthers released him on August 16, 2024. Next, he was claimed off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders on August 18, 2024. He made one tackle (1 solo) in one preseason game. The Raiders released him on August 27, 2024, and he re-signed with the Carolina Panthers on October 1, 2024. The Panthers released him again on November 5, 2024.
Collegiately, Mitchell played four seasons at Connecticut (2019, 2021-23) making 438 tackles (186 solos, 252 assists), 25 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three interceptions for six yards, 10 pass breakups, six forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries, and two touchdowns in 47 games for the Huskies. In 2022, he was a Butkus Award Semifinalist.
