The Saskatchewan Roughriders and offensive lineman Noah Zerr agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2025 season on Tuesday.
Noah Zerr is six foot seven and weighs 330 pounds. The 25-year-old from Langenburg, Saskatchewan, signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on December 22, 2023. In 2024, Zerr played 11 games.
Saskatchewan’s offense averaged 26.6 points per game, 355.7 net offense per game, 89.6 rushing yards per game, 278.8 passing yards per game, 45 touchdowns, and 35 sacks allowed finishing 9-8-1 in the regular season. They were eliminated in the Western Final against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Zerr attended the New York Giants rookie minicamp in 2022. The B.C. Lions drafted Zerr in the second round (12th pick) in the 2022 CFL Draft. In 2022, Zerr played four games. The B.C. Lions released him on June 4, 2023. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Zerr on June 20, 2023. In 2023, he played three games and spent the rest of the year on the practice squad. The Ticats released him on November 5, 2023.
Collegiately, Zerr played 41 games in five seasons at the University of Saskatchewan (2016-19, 2021) playing left tackle for the Huskies. In 2021, he was named USports First Team All-Canadian and Canada West All-Star after helping the Huskies’ offense average 33.6 points per game, 1,870 rushing yards (187 Avg. Per Game), 2,727 passing yards (272.7 Avg. Per Game), and 37 touchdowns as the Huskies won the Hardy Cup and Uteck Bowl. In addition, he was voted as the Huskies’ lineman of the year.
