The B.C. Lions re-signed defensive back Jordan Perryman to a two-year contract extension through the 2026 season and signed wide receiver Brayden Lenius on Thursday.
Jordan Perryman is six foot and weighs 198 pounds. The 25-year-old from Hanford, California, signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023, but did not play in the preseason due to an undisclosed injury. The Raiders released him on September 5, 2023.
The B.C. Lions signed Perryman on February 26, 2024. In 2024, he made seven tackles, six tackles on special teams, and one forced fumble in 10 games. The Lions released him on November 3, 2024.
Collegiately, Perryman played five seasons at the University of California-Davis (2017-21) making 140 tackles (117 solos, 23 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions for 21 yards, 23 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and three kick returns for 35 yards in 42 games for the Aggies. He was named First Team All-Big Sky Conference and Third Team All-American by Phil Steele in 2021.
Then, Perryman transferred to Washington in 2022 making 37 tackles (25 solos, 12 assists) and one pass breakup in ten games for the Huskies.
Brayden Lenius is six foot five and weighs 220 pounds. The 28-year-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, re-signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on November 16, 2023. He attended training camp but did not play in the preseason. The Roughriders released him on June 1, 2024.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders drafted Lenius in the second round (15th pick) of the 2019 CFL Draft. In 2022, Lenius made 37 catches for 471 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games. After the season, the Roughriders released Lenius and he later signed with the Atlanta Falcons. Lenius was released by the Falcons on July 28, 2022, and he later returned to Saskatchewan.
In 2023, Lenius made two catches for 12 yards in one game against the Toronto Argonauts. He missed the majority of the 2023 season after suffering a lacerated kidney in the second preseason game and a lisfranc injury in Week 8 against the Toronto Argonauts which ended his season. In four seasons, Lenius made 58 catches for 659 yards, five touchdowns, and one kick return for four yards in 35 games.
Collegiately, Lenius played four seasons at Washington (2014-17) making 42 catches for 452 yards and three touchdowns in 40 games for the Huskies. Then, Lenius transferred to New Mexico in 2018 with six catches for 39 yards, one touchdown, and three kick returns for 18 yards in 11 games for the Lobos.
