The Wroclaw Panthers signed wide receiver Darrell Stewart Jr. on Monday, December 23, 2024.
Darrell Stewart Jr. is six foot and weighs 212 pounds. The 28-year-old from Houston, Texas, re-signed with the Stuttgart Surge on December 21, 2023. In 2024, he made 89 catches for 1,121 yards, nine touchdowns, one carry for -3 yards, 11 punt returns for 158 yards, and three kick returns for 67 yards in 16 games. In the 2024 playoffs, Stewart Jr. made eight catches for 11 yards.
Stewart Jr. signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2020. The NFL did not play the preseason due to the pandemic. The Packers released him on August 15, 2020. The Carolina Panthers signed Stewart Jr. on September 5, 2020. He spent 12 days on the practice squad before the Panthers released him on September 17, 2020.
The Dresden Monarchs (German Football League) signed Stewart Jr. on May 8, 2021. In 2021, he made 82 catches for 1,369 yards, 22 touchdowns, five punt returns for 42 yards, 12 kick returns for 265 yards, and one touchdown in 13 games helping the Monarchs win German Bowl XLII over the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns 28-19.
Next, Stewart Jr. signed with the New Jersey Generals on September 17, 2022. In 2023, he made seven catches for 138 yards in three games. The Stuttgart Surge signed Stewart Jr. in July 2023. In Stuttgart, Stewart Jr. made 59 catches for 754 yards, five touchdowns, and two carries for 20 yards in eight games. In the 2023 playoffs, he made 32 catches for 545 yards, and six touchdowns helping the Surge advance to the ELF Championship Game against the Rhein Fire.
Collegiately, Stewart Jr. played four seasons at Michigan State (2016-19) making 150 catches for 1,640 yards, seven touchdowns, 28 carries for 152 yards, completing 2 of 2 passes (100%) for 21 yards, one touchdown, 23 kick returns for 551 yards, six punt returns for 20 yards, two tackles (2 solos), and one forced fumble in 43 games for the Spartans.
