The Birmingham Stallions signed defensive end Myjai Sanders on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Myjai Sanders is six foot five and weighs 248 pounds. The 26-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round (100th pick) of the 2022 NFL Draft. In 2022, Sanders made 23 tackles (17 solos, 6 assists), three tackles for loss, three sacks, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 13 games.
In 2023, he suffered a hand injury and did not play in the preseason. The Cardinals released him on October 17, 2023. The Houston Texans acquired him via waivers on October 18, 2023. He made seven tackles (4 solos, 3 assists) and one tackle for loss in seven games. The Texans released him on April 29, 2024.
Collegiately, Sanders played four seasons at Cincinnati (2018-21) making 115 tackles (60 solos, 55 assists), 25 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 13 pass breakups, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and one kick return for 18 yards in 48 games for the Bearcats. He was named a two-time First Team All-AAC.
