The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive back Tiawan Mullen on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Tiawan Mullen is five foot ten and weighs 180 pounds. The 24-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2023. In 2023, Mullen made 12 tackles (9 solos, 3 assists), and two pass breakups in three preseason games.
The Chargers released him on August 29, 2023. The Philadelphia Eagles signed Mullen on August 31, 2023. He spent the majority of the 2023 season on the practice squad. The Eagles released him on August 29, 2024.
Collegiately, Mullen played four seasons at Indiana (2019-22) making 144 tackles (106 solos, 38 assists), nine tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, five interceptions, 33 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 40 games for the Hoosiers. He was named First Team All-American by Phil Steele and First Team All-Big Ten in 2020.
