The Penn State Nittany Lions (13-2) took on the Boise Broncos (12-2) in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl on Tuesday night from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Penn State had 387 yards on offense (171 yards passing, 216 yards rushing), and 21 first downs to beat the Broncos 31-14.

Quarterback Drew Allar completed 13 of 25 passes (52%) for 171 yards, three touchdowns, and 11 carries for -4 yards. Running back Kaytron Allen had 17 carries for 134 yards, while Nicholas Singleton had 12 carries for 87 yards and one touchdown.

Tight end Tyler Warren made six catches for 63 yards, and two touchdowns, while Omari Evans made two catches for 55 yards and one touchdown. Penn State’s defense made 80 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, three interceptions, one fumble recovery, and three pass breakups.

Boise State had 412 yards on offense (304 yards passing, 108 yards rushing), and 25 first downs. Quarterback Maddux Madsen completed 23 of 35 passes (65.7%) for 304 yards, one touchdown, three interceptions, and seven carries for -3 yards. Running back Ashton Jeanty had 30 carries for 104 yards, and three catches for 22 yards, while Tyler Crowe had one carry for eight yards and one touchdown.

Tight end Matt Lauter made four catches for 96 yards, and one touchdown, while Cameron Camper made three catches for 66 yards. Boise State’s defense made 61 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two pass breakups.
