The Toronto Argonauts acquired linebacker Cameron Judge from the Calgary Stampeders on Friday for defensive lineman Folarin Orimolade.
Cameron Judge is six foot two and weighs 234 pounds. The 30-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, made 73 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble in 18 games for the Stampeders in 2024.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders drafted Judge in the first round (2nd pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft. Judge played three seasons in Saskatchewan making 102 tackles, 18 tackles on special teams, seven sacks, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles in 38 games. In 2021, Judge signed with the Toronto Argonauts with 13 tackles and one tackle on special teams in ten games.
The Calgary Stampeders acquired Judge from the Toronto Argonauts on February 4, 2022, for Royce Metchie. In 2022, Judge made 78 tackles, two tackles on special teams, five sacks, two interceptions, two touchdowns, and two forced fumbles in 17 games. He was named a CFL All-Star and CFL West All-Star after the season.
In 2023, he made 90 tackles, one tackle on special teams, two sacks, five interceptions, one touchdown, and two forced fumbles in 17 games.
Collegiately, Judge played four seasons at UCLA (2013-16) making 46 tackles (30 solos, 16 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception for 12 yards, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 47 games for the Bruins.
Folarin Orimolade is five foot eleven and weighs 238 pounds. The 29-year-old from Washington, D.C., made 17 tackles, six sacks, one interception, and one touchdown in 12 games helping the Argonauts win the 111th Grey Cup over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The Los Angeles Rams signed Orimolade as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2017. In 2017, he made nine tackles (6 solos, 3 assists) in three preseason games. The Rams released Orimolade on September 2, 2017.
Then, Orimolade signed with the Calgary Stampeders on May 11, 2018. Orimolade played three seasons in Calgary with 52 tackles, 11 tackles on special teams, ten sacks, one interception, and three forced fumbles in 37 games. He is a member of the 2018 Grey Cup championship team.
The Toronto Argonauts signed Orimolade on February 14, 2023. In 2023, he made 36 tackles, ten sacks, and two forced fumbles in 17 games. He was named a CFL East All-Star in 2023.
Collegiately, Orimolade played four seasons at Dartmouth (2013-16) making 143 tackles (86 solos, 57 assists), 35 tackles for loss, 23.5 sacks, eight pass breakups, ten forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 40 games for the Big Green. He was named First Team All-Ivy League as a linebacker in 2015.
