The Ottawa Redblacks signed wide receiver Lincoln Victor and released running back T.J. Hammonds on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Lincoln Victor is five foot nine and weighs 177 pounds. The 24-year-old from Maui, Hawaii, signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024, but was released on May 13, 2024. The Ottawa Redblacks signed Victor on September 18, 2024, and spent over a month on the practice squad. The Redblacks released him on November 3, 2024.
Collegiately, Victor played two seasons at Hawaii (2019-20) making 12 catches for 103 yards, three touchdowns, two carries for 49 yards, and 23 kick returns for 511 yards in 17 games for the Rainbow Warriors.
Then, Victor transferred to Washington State (2021-23) making 137 catches for 1,401 yards, seven touchdowns, eight carries for 12 yards, one touchdown, completed 1 of 4 passes (25%) for 39 yards, 27 kick returns for 542 yards, 11 tackles (8 solo, 3 assists), one tackle for loss, and one forced fumble in 37 games for the Cougars.
T.J. Hammonds is five foot ten and weighs 195 pounds. The 26-year-old from Little Rock, Arkansas, was drafted by the Seattle Sea Dragons in the second round (11th pick) of the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, he had 32 carries for 167 yards, one touchdown, 12 catches for 61 yards, and one kick return for 12 yards in 10 games.
The Ottawa Redblacks signed Hammonds as a free agent on May 6, 2024. The Redblacks placed him on the retired list on May 14, 2024.
Collegiately, Hammonds played six seasons at Arkansas (2016-21) with 80 carries for 543 yards, two touchdowns, 13 catches for 221 yards, two touchdowns, and four kick returns for 50 yards in 50 games for the Razorbacks.
