The Arlington Renegades re-signed offensive lineman Garrett McGhin and defensive back Myles Dorn and signed running back Kalen Ballage on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Garrett McGhin is six foot six and weighs 315 pounds. The 29-year-old from Tallahassee, Florida, re-signed with the Renegades on December 4, 2023. In 2024, Arlington’s offense ranked second in total yards (3,119), passing yards (2,277), yards per game (311.9), sixth in rushing (842), and tied third for touchdowns (27).
The Buffalo Bills signed McGhin as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and played two games. He also had stints with the Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, and the New Jersey Generals (USFL).
The New Jersey Generals drafted McGhin in the fifth round (40th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. He played nine games for New Jersey and was named to the All-USFL Team after the season.
The Arlington Renegades drafted McGhin in the second round (15th pick) of the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, he started ten games for the Arlington Renegades (XFL) helping them win the XFL Championship over the D.C. Defenders.
After the season, the Renegades released McGhin on August 20, 2023, and he signed with the Buffalo Bills on August 21, 2023. He played one preseason game and the Bills released him on August 27, 2023.
Collegiately, McGhin played five seasons at East Carolina (2014-18) playing both guard positions in 48 games, of which 34 were starts for the Pirates. In 2017, McGhin helped play a key role for East Carolina’s offense ranking 12th nationally in passing offense (317.9 YPG) and 42nd in total offense (425.6 YPG).
Kalen Ballage is six foot one and weighs 227 pounds. The 29-year-old from Peyton, Colorado, was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round (131st pick) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
He also had stints with the New York Jets, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played 52 regular season games with 213 carries for 665 yards, seven touchdowns, 54 catches for 293 yards, two kick returns for 26 yards, and five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist).
The San Antonio Brahmas drafted Ballage in the sixth round (46th pick) in Phase 1 of the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, he had 55 carries for 149 yards, 11 catches for 82 yards, and four kick returns for 81 yards in five games. The Brahmas released him on February 15, 2024.
Collegiately, Ballage played four seasons at Arizona State (2014-17) with 450 carries for 1,984 yards, 27 touchdowns, 82 catches for 684 yards, two touchdowns, completing 3 of 4 passes (75%) for 30 yards, one touchdown, 47 kick returns for 1,059 yards, one punt return for -6 yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in 47 games for the Sun Devils.
Myles Dorn is six foot one and weighs 214 pounds. The 26-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, signed with the Arlington Renegades on January 24, 2024. In 2024, Dorn made 37 tackles (25 solos, 12 assists), two interceptions, four pass breakups, and one forced fumble in nine games.
The Minnesota Vikings signed Dorn as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2020. He played two seasons in Minnesota making five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists) in 14 games. He also spent time with the Carolina Panthers and the Miami Dolphins.
Collegiately, Dorn played four seasons at North Carolina (2016-19) making 241 tackles (132 solos, 109 assists), 10.5 sacks, six interceptions for two yards, 21 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 46 games for the Tar Heels.
