The Ottawa Redblacks and wide receiver Bralon Addison agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2025 season on Wednesday.
Bralon Addison is five foot nine and weighs 197 pounds. The 31-year-old from Missouri City, Texas, made 41 catches for 433 yards, two touchdowns, 27 carries for 151 yards, one punt return for 10 yards, and five tackles in 10 games for the Redblacks in 2024.
The Denver Broncos signed Addison as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2016. In 2016, he made three catches for 22 yards in three preseason games. The Broncos released him on August 30, 2016. He later signed with the Chicago Bears on December 5, 2016. Addison played two games making one catch for 11 yards.
Next, Addison signed with the Toronto Argonauts on April 18, 2018, and spent most of the season on the practice squad. The Argonauts released him on August 22, 2018. Then, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Addison on September 1, 2018.
He played four seasons in Hamilton (2018-19, 2021-22) making 164 catches for 2,013 yards, eight touchdowns, 53 carries for 298 yards, one touchdown, 24 punt returns for 195 yards, and five kick returns for 80 yards in 31 games.
In 2022, Addison caught 43 passes for 433 yards, 12 carries for 67 yards, and three punt returns for 32 yards in eight games for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Ticats released him on May 10, 2023. Addison was named a CFL East All-Star and All-Star in 2019.
The Ottawa Redblacks signed Addison on May 13, 2023. In 2023, he made 26 catches for 272 yards, and two touchdowns in eight games.
Collegiately, Addison played three seasons at Oregon (2012-13, 2015) making 146 catches for 1,937 yards, 20 touchdowns, 21 carries for 103 yards, two touchdowns, 11 kick returns for 217 yards, 36 punt returns for 451 yards, and three touchdowns in 39 games for the Ducks. He was named Second Team All-Pac 12 in 2015.
