The Birmingham Stallions moved defensive tackle Jordan Thompson to the retired list on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Jordan Thompson is six foot two and weighs 292 pounds. The 28-year-old from Cincinnati, Ohio, made 25 tackles (18 solos, 7 assists), six tackles for loss, four sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 10 games.

In the 2024 UFL playoffs, Thompson made six tackles (3 solos, 3 assists) in two games helping the Stallions win their third straight championship 25-0 over the San Antonio Brahmas.

The Indianapolis Colts signed Thompson as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2019. The Colts released him on May 20, 2019. The San Francisco 49ers signed Thompson on July 27, 2019. In 2019, Thompson made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in three preseason games. The 49ers released him on August 31, 2019.

The Seattle Dragons (XFL) drafted Thompson in the 2020 XFL Open Draft. In 2020, he made 14 tackles (8 solos, 6 assists) in five games before the league shutdown due to COVID-19.

The Birmingham Stallions signed Thompson on April 1, 2022. In 2022, he made 10 tackles (4 solos, 6 assists), one tackle for loss, and 1.5 sacks in two games when the Stallions beat the Philadelphia Stars in the USFL Championship game.

In 2023, Thompson made 23 tackles (14 solos, 9 assists), and two tackles for loss in eight games. In the 2023 USFL playoffs, Thompson made four tackles (1 solo, 3 assists) in two games helping the Stallions win their second USFL Championship over the Pittsburgh Maulers.

Collegiately, Thompson played four seasons at Northwestern (2015-18) making 91 tackles (35 solos, 56 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, six pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 51 games for the Wildcats.
