The Ottawa Redblacks signed defensive back Rod’Darius Gattison on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Rod’Darius Gattison is six foot and weighs 199 pounds. A native of Hartsville, South Carolina, Gattison signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024, but they released him on May 13, 2024.
Collegiately, Gattison played two seasons at Georgia Military College (2019-20) making 14 tackles (10 solos, 4 assists), one fumble recovery, one interception for 33 yards, and three pass breakups in 11 games for the Bulldogs.
Then, he transferred to Western Carolina (2020-23) making 121 tackles (85 solos, 36 assists), eight tackles for loss, three sacks, five interceptions for 90 yards, 20 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one kick return for 25 yards in 37 games for the Catamounts.
In 2023, he made 38 tackles (27 solos, 11 assists), four tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception for 29 yards, nine pass breakups, and one kick return for 25 yards in 11 games. Gattison played at Hartsville High School in South Carolina making 121 tackles, and five interceptions in 37 games.
