The San Antonio Brahmas signed defensive back Greedy Williams on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Greedy Williams is six foot two and weighs 185 pounds. The 27-year-old from Shreveport, Louisiana, was drafted by the Cleveland Browns drafted Williams in the second round (46th pick) in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Williams played three seasons in Cleveland with 99 tackles (78 solos, 21 assists), two tackles for loss, two interceptions for seven yards, 12 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 39 games, of which 21 were starts.
In 2022, he made 11 tackles (6 solos, 5 assists) in 11 games for the Browns. He missed the beginning of the 2022 season with a hamstring injury. He became a free agent after the 2022 season. Next, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Williams on March 21, 2023. In 2023, he made five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist) in two preseason games. The Eagles released him on August 19, 2023.
Collegiately, Williams played three seasons at LSU (2016-18) making 71 tackles (49 solos, 22 assists), two tackles for loss, eight interceptions, and 28 pass breakups in 25 games for the Tigers. He was named a two-time First Team All-SEC (2017-18), and Second Team All-American in 2018.
