The Winnipeg Blue Bombers released wide receiver Drew Wolitarsky on Monday.
Drew Wolitarsky is six foot two and weighs 224 pounds. The 29-year-old from Santa Clarita, California, made 33 catches for 403 yards, and one touchdown in 10 games for the Blue Bombers in 2024. He missed most of the season with a shoulder injury.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers drafted Wolitarsky in the 2017 CFL Supplemental Draft. In 2023, Wolitarsky made 47 catches for 668 yards, and six touchdowns in 18 games for the Blue Bombers helping them appear in the 110th Grey Cup against the Montreal Alouettes.
In seven seasons, Wolitarsky has made 227 catches for 2,954 yards, and 18 touchdowns in 89 games for the Blue Bombers helping them win two Grey Cup championships.
Collegiately, Wolitarsky played four seasons at Minnesota (2013-16) making 130 catches for 1,749 yards, nine touchdowns, four carries for 13 yards, six punt returns for 28 yards, and three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in 45 games for the Golden Gophers. Wolitarsky is tied for eighth all-time in receptions (130) and ninth in program history in receiving yards (1,749). He was named Third Team All-Big Ten by the media and made the All-Big Ten Academic Team in 2016.
