
The B.C. Lions signed wide receiver Michael ‘MJ’ Wright and defensive lineman Tre’ Crawford on Wednesday.
Michael ‘MJ’ Wright is six foot and weighs 192 pounds. A native of Freehold, New Jersey, Wright attended the New York Giants rookie minicamp in 2024.
Collegiately, Wright played five seasons at Fordham University (2019-23) making 185 catches for 2,887 yards, 21 touchdowns, 37 kick returns for 688 yards, seven tackles (6 solos, 1 assist), and one fumble recovery in 45 games for the Rams. He was named First Team All-Patriot League in 2023 and was named a two-time Second Team All-Patriot League (2021-22). His 2,887 career receiving yards ranks sixth on Fordham’s all-time list.
Tre’ Crawford is six foot three and weighs 245 pounds. The 28-year-old from Houston, Texas, signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on December 26, 2023. In 2024, he made one tackle and one sack in two preseason games. The Roughriders released him on June 1, 2024.
The Atlanta Falcons signed Crawford as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2019. In 2019, he made eight tackles (5 solos, 3 assists), and one sack in four preseason games. The Falcons released him on August 31, 2019.
Next, Crawford signed with the Denver Broncos on December 30, 2019. There were no preseason games in 2020 and the Broncos released him on July 27, 2020.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Crawford as a free agent on March 23, 2022. In 2022, Crawford made five tackles and one sack in five games. In 2023, he made 13 tackles, one tackle on special teams, three sacks, and one forced fumble in nine games. The Ticats released him on November 5, 2023.
Collegiately, Crawford played two seasons at Tyler Junior College (2015-16) making 96 tackles (80 solos, 16 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, and two pass breakups in 18 games for the Apache.
Then, Crawford transferred to UAB (2017-18) making 47 tackles (34 solos, 13 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and two forced fumbles in 21 games for the Blazers.
