The Calgary Stampeders signed defensive lineman Micheal Mason on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Micheal Mason is six foot three and weighs 280 pounds. The 24-year-old from Florence, South Carolina, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, Mason made three tackles (3 solos) in two preseason games. The Chargers released him on August 22, 2024.

Collegiately, Mason played four seasons at Wofford College (2019-22) making 149 tackles (80 solos, 69 assists), 30 tackles for loss, 20 sacks, one pass breakup, six forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 36 games for the Terriers. He was named a two-time First Team All-SoCon and two-time Second Team All-SoCon.

Then, Mason transferred to Coastal Carolina in 2023 making 67 tackles (24 solos, 43 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 13 games for the Chanticleers.
