The Arlington Renegades re-signed wide receiver Tyler Vaughns and signed offensive linemen Blake Larson and Mark Evans on Tuesday according to Pro Football Newsroom writer James Larsen.
Tyler Vaughns is six foot two and weighs 184 pounds. The 27-year-old from Pasadena, California, made 45 catches for 503 yards, and three touchdowns in 10 games for the Renegades in 2024.
The Indianapolis Colts signed Vaughns as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2021. In 2021, he made six catches for 58 yards, and five punt returns for 15 yards in three preseason games. The Colts released him on September 3, 2021.
Next, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed Vaughns on September 7, 2021. He spent the season on the practice squad. In 2022, he made eight catches for 112 yards, one touchdown, and one kick return for 27 yards in three preseason games. The Steelers released him on August 30, 2022.
The Arlington Renegades drafted Vaughns in the 10th round (69th pick) of the 2023 XFL Supplemental Draft. In 2023, he made 31 catches for 302 yards, and one touchdown in 10 games helping Arlington win the XFL Championship over the D.C. Defenders.
Collegiately, Vaughns played four seasons at USC (2017-20) making 222 catches for 2,801 yards, 20 touchdowns, completing one pass for 36 yards, one touchdown, one kick return for 10 yards, 30 punt returns for 267 yards, one touchdown, and five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist) in 45 games for the Trojans. He was named Second Team All-PAC 12 in 2020.
Blake Larson is six foot seven and weighs 300 pounds. The 24-year-old from Brandon, South Dakota, signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2024. In 2024, he played three preseason games. The Rams released him on September 10, 2024.
Collegiately, Larson played five seasons at Augustana University (2018-23) playing left guard and right tackle in 46 games for the Vikings. In 2023, Augustana averaged 32.69 points per game, 150.5 rushing yards per game, 222.62 passing yards per game, 373.2 total yards per game, 56 touchdowns, and allowed 25 sacks finishing 11-2 for the season winning the NSIC Championship.
Larson was named a three-time First Team All-NSIC, D2CCA All-America Second Team, NSIC South Division Champion, and a two-time NSIC Champion.
Mark Evans is six foot four and weighs 295 pounds. The 25-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he played three preseason games. He spent the majority of the season on the practice squad. In 2024, he played three preseason games. The Saints released him on August 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Evans played five seasons at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (2018-22) playing left tackle in 38 games for the Golden Lions. In 2022, Arkansas at Pine Bluff averaged 23.82 points per game, 147.4 rushing yards per game, 169.00 passing yards per game, 316.4 total yards per game, 34 touchdowns, and allowed 24 sacks finishing 3-8 for the season. Evans was named First Team All-SWAC in 2019.
