The B.C. Lions released wide receiver Alexander Hollins and defensive lineman Mark Ho Ching on Thursday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Alexander Hollins is six foot and weighs 175 pounds. The 27-year-old from Yazoo City, Mississippi, made 61 catches for 937 yards, and six touchdowns in 16 games for the B.C. Lions in 2024.

The Minnesota Vikings signed Hollins as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2019. In 2019, Hollins made two catches for 46 yards in five games, of which one was a start. On December 28, 2020, the Cleveland Browns signed Hollins off of Minnesota’s practice squad. The Browns released him on December 21, 2021.

The B.C. Lions signed Hollins as a free agent on February 17, 2022. In 2022, Hollins made 13 catches for 117 yards, and one touchdown in four games. In 2023, Hollins made 78 catches for 1,173 yards, nine touchdowns, and one carry for 11 yards in 18 games for the Lions in 2023. He was named a CFL West All-Star after the season.

Collegiately, Hollins played two seasons at Copiah-Lincoln Community College (2015-16) making 26 catches for 474 yards, five touchdowns, two carries for 12 yards, and 16 kick returns for 357 yards in 17 games for the Wolves.

Then, he transferred to Eastern Illinois University (2017-18) making 126 catches for 1,784 yards, 23 touchdowns, eight carries for 62 yards, and four kick returns for 57 yards in 22 games for the Panthers. He was named First Team All-OVC and First Team All-American by Phil Steele in 2018.

Mark Ho Ching is six foot three and weighs 290 pounds. The 24-year-old from Oakland, California, attended the Chicago Bears rookie minicamp in 2024. The B.C. Lions signed Ching on October 19, 2024.

Collegiately, Ching played four seasons at Northern Arizona (2019, 2021-23) making 54 tackles (23 solos, 31 assists), 12 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and four pass breakups in 31 games for the Lumberjacks. In 2023, he made 25 tackles (11 solo, 14 assists), four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one pass breakup in 11 games. He was named Team Captain and earned the All-Big Sky Conference honors.
