The Calgary Stampeders signed defensive back Anthony Cook on Thursday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Anthony Cook is six foot one and weighs 188 pounds. The 24-year-old from Houston, Texas, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2023. In 2023, he made seven tackles (5 solos, 2 assists) in three preseason games. The Chiefs released him on August 29, 2023.

Collegiately, Cook played five seasons at Texas (2018-22) making 167 tackles (105 solos, 62 assists), 10 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one carry for -4 yards in 60 games for the Longhorns. In 2022, he made 61 tackles (35 solos, 26 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games. He was named a two-time Big 12 Honorable Mention (2021-22).
