The D.C. Defenders signed wide receiver Jaydon Mickens on Thursday according to Fox Sports.
Jaydon Mickens is five foot ten and weighs 174 pounds. The 30-year-old from Los Angeles, California, signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2016. He also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants, and the Indianapolis Colts.
Mickens played 38 regular season games making 15 catches for 145 yards, two touchdowns, and six tackles (6 solos). In 2020, he made seven catches for 58 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 10 games when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 54.
Collegiately, Mickens played four seasons at Washington (2012-15) making 203 catches for 2,187 yards, 12 touchdowns, 32 carries for 190 yards, three touchdowns, 19 kick returns for 408 yards, four punt returns for 21 yards, and three tackles (3 solos) in 53 games for the Huskies.
