The Montreal Alouettes signed wide receivers Kyric McGowan and Isaiah Washington on Thursday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Kyric McGowan is five foot eleven and weighs 198 pounds. The 25-year-old from Dalton, Georgia, signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022. He also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins. McGowan made 10 catches for 94 yards, one touchdown, one carry for nine yards, seven kick returns for 139 yards, and four punt returns for 34 yards in 10 preseason games.
Collegiately, McGowan played four seasons at Northwestern (2017-20) making 68 catches for 802 yards, two touchdowns, 55 carries for 352 yards, two touchdowns, 22 kick returns for 531 yards, and one punt return for -8 yards in 42 games for the Wildcats.
Then, he transferred to Georgia Tech in 2021 making 37 catches for 467 yards, seven touchdowns, one kick return for three yards, and four punt returns for nine yards in 11 games for the Yellow Jackets.
Isaiah Washington is six foot two and weighs 206 pounds. The 23-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2024. In 2024, he made one catch for six yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in three preseason games. The Ravens released him on September 5, 2024.
Collegiately, Washington played five seasons at Rutgers (2019-23) making 74 catches for 927 yards, three touchdowns, one carry for -5 yards, completing 1 of 2 passes (50%) for 27 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 58 games for the Scarlet Knights. In 2023, he made 25 catches for 321 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games.
