The Memphis Showboats signed defensive back Tenny Adewusi on Friday according to Fox Sports.
Tenny Adewusi is six foot and weighs 206 pounds. The 27-year-old from Avenel, New Jersey, signed with the Arlington Renegades on February 19, 2024. In 2024, he made 32 tackles (19 solos, 13 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, one interception, and two pass breakups in eight games.
The New York Giants signed Adewusi as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2019. In 2019, he made four tackles (4 solos) and one pass breakup in four preseason games. The Giants released him on August 31, 2019. The Dallas Renegades drafted Adewusi in Phase 5 of the 2020 XFL Open Draft. In 2020, he made 22 tackles (16 solos, 6 assists) in five games for the league suspended operations due to the pandemic.
The Ottawa Redblacks signed Adewusi on May 9, 2021. He attended training camp and the Redblacks released him on June 5, 2022. The San Antonio Brahmas drafted Adewusi in the tenth round (79th pick) in Phase 2 of the 2022 XFL Draft. In 2023, he made 50 tackles (30 solos, 20 assists), one tackle for loss, three quarterback hits, and two interceptions for five yards in ten games.
Collegiately, Adewusi played four seasons at Delaware (2015-18) making 89 tackles (64 solos, 25 assists), one tackle for loss, two interceptions for seven yards, 17 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 39 games for the Fightin’ Blue Hens.
