The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and wide receiver Dalton Schoen agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2025 season on Saturday. Schoen was scheduled to be a free agent.
Dalton Schoen is six foot one and weighs 210 pounds. The 28-year-old from Overland Park, Kansas, re-signed with the Blue Bombers on February 6, 2024. In 2024, he made 14 catches for 159 yards in three games before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
The Los Angeles Chargers signed Schoen as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2020. He also had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Washington Football Team. In 2021, he made two catches for 16 yards and one tackle (1 assist) in three preseason games for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Schoen as a free agent on April 7, 2022. In 2022, Schoen made 70 catches for 1,441 yards, 16 touchdowns, and one carry for three yards in 18 games. He was named a CFL West All-Star and CFL All-Star after the season.
In 2023, he made 71 catches for 1,222 yards, 10 touchdowns, and one carry for six yards in 16 games. Schoen was named a CFL West All-Star and CFL All-Star for the second consecutive year.
Collegiately, Schoen played four seasons at Kansas State (2016-19) making 92 catches for 1,569 yards, nine touchdowns, and one carry for four yards in 35 games for the Wildcats. He was named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2019.
