
The Arlington Renegades re-signed linebacker Will Clarke on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Will Clarke is six foot six and weighs 275 pounds. The 33-year-old from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round (88th pick) of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played three seasons in Cincinnati making 22 tackles (15 solos, 7 assists), four tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 35 games. The Bengals released him on September 2, 2017.
Next, he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 5, 2017. He played two seasons in Tampa Bay making 15 tackles (12 solos, 3 assists), two tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery in 18 games. He would later spend time with the Detroit Lions and the New Orleans Saints.
The St. Louis Battlehawks signed Clarke in 2019. In 2020, he made eight tackles (4 solos, 4 assists), and one sack in five games before the league suspended operations due to COVID-19.
The Arlington Renegades drafted Clarke in the third round (19th pick) in Phase 3 of the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, he made 19 tackles (11 solos, 8 assists), six tackles for loss, four sacks, and one forced fumble in nine games. He re-signed with the Renegades on January 24, 2024. In 2024, he made 24 tackles (15 solos, 9 assists), and 2.5 sacks in 10 games.
Collegiately, Clarke played four seasons at West Virginia (2010-13) making 110 tackles (68 solos, 42 assists), 29 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 41 games for the Mountaineers.
