The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed defensive back Tevaughn Campbell on Monday.
Tevaughn Campbell is six foot and weighs 200 pounds. The 31-year-old from Scarborough, Ontario, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the third round (22nd Pick) in the 2015 CFL Draft. In 2015, he made seven tackles, one tackle on special teams, and one pass breakup in five games. The Calgary Stampeders traded Campbell to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on February 11, 2016, for a 2017 fourth-round draft pick.
In 2016, Campbell made 12 tackles, four tackles on special teams, one sack, and one interception in 12 games. On August 15, 2017, Campbell, along with a 2018 and 2018 third-round draft picks were traded to the Montreal Alouettes for quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. and a 2018 fifth-round draft pick.
He played two seasons in Montreal making 34 tackles, four tackles on special teams, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles in 19 games. The Alouettes released him on January 3, 2019, and he signed with the New York Jets on January 4, 2019. In 2019, he made 10 tackles (5 solos, 5 assists), and three pass breakups in four preseason games.
The Jets released him on August 31, 2019. Campbell also spent time with the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played 37 regular season games making 65 tackles (50 solos, 15 assists), one interception for six yards, one touchdown, seven pass breakups, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown. In 2024, he made one tackle (1 solo) in three preseason games. The Jaguars released him on August 25, 2024.
Collegiately, Campbell played four seasons at the University of Regina (2011-14) making 60 tackles (45 solos, 15 assists), two tackles for loss, one sack, 11 pass breakups, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, 20 kick returns for 423 yards, and 42 punt returns for 440 yards in 20 games for the Rams. He was named Second Team All-Canadian, and a Canada West All-Star in 2013.
