Former CFL player Bailey Feltmate Announces Retirement

Former CFL player Bailey Feltmate announced his retirement on Tuesday to become a coach at Dalhousie University according to 3DownNation writer John Hodge.

Bailey Feltmate is six foot two and weighs 240 pounds. The 27-year-old from Moncton, Alberta, signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on June 10, 2024. In 2024, he made one catch for five yards, and eight tackles on special teams in eight games helping them reach the Grey Cup for the fifth consecutive season.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats drafted Feltmate in the second round (17th pick) of the 2020 CFL Draft. In 2023, he made one tackle and 15 tackles on special teams in 16 games for the Ticats in 2023. In three seasons, Feltmate made four tackles and 35 tackles on special teams in 43 games. The Ticats released Feltmate on June 3, 2024.

Collegiately, Feltmate played five seasons at Acadia University (2016-20) making 203 tackles (152 solos, 102 assists), 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and five pass breakups in 31 games for the Axemen.
