Report: Montreal Alouettes to sign defensive lineman Josh Archibald

The Montreal Alouettes are set to sign defensive lineman Josh Archibald when free agency starts next Tuesday according to 3DownNation writer Justin Dunk.

Josh Archibald is six foot three and weighs 238 pounds. The 27-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, made 15 tackles, six tackles on special teams, four sacks, and two forced fumbles in 17 games for the B.C. Lions in 2024.

The B.C. Lions drafted Archibald in the third round (23rd pick) of the 2022 CFL Draft. In 2022, he made one tackle on special teams in one game. In 2023, he made 10 tackles on special teams in 16 games.

Collegiately, Archibald played four seasons at McGill University (2017-19, 2021) making 45 tackles (27 solos, 18 assists), 8.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 22 games for the Redbirds.
