The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed wide receiver Tommy Nield on Tuesday.

Tommy Nield is six foot three and weighs 203 pounds. The 25-year-old from Guelph, Ontario, made 21 catches for 2101 yards, and one touchdown in 11 games for the Argonauts in 2024. He missed most of the 2024 season with a hand injury. The Argonauts released him on February 3, 2025.

The Toronto Argonauts drafted Nield in the fourth round (30th pick) of the 2021 CFL Draft. In four seasons with Toronto, Nield made 63 catches for 776 yards, two touchdowns, one carry for no yards, and one kick return for no yards in 26 games.

Collegiately, Nield played three seasons at McMaster University (2017-19) making 102 catches for 1,618 yards, ten touchdowns, and two kick returns for seven yards in 28 games for the Marauders.
