The Memphis Showboats signed running back Demeric Prince on Tuesday according to Pro Football Newsroom writer James Larsen.
Demeric Pince is six foot and weighs 216 pounds. The 24-year-old from Manvel, Texas, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2023. In 2023, he had 22 carries for 79 yards, one touchdown, three catches for 10 yards, six kick returns for 112 yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in three preseason games. He dressed for two regular season games in 2023.
In 2024, he had 14 carries for 62 yards, four catches for 20 yards, and one kick return for 25 yards in three preseason games. The Chiefs released him on August 27, 2024. The Miami Dolphins signed Prince on August 30, 2024. He spent the season on the practice squad.
Collegiately, Prince played one season at Texas A&M in 2018 with two carries for 21 yards in one game for the Aggies. Then, he transferred to Tulsa (2020-22) with 314 carries for 1,723 yards, 14 touchdowns, 17 catches for 162 yards, one touchdown, and four kick returns for 68 yards in 26 games for the Golden Hurricanes.
