The B.C. Lions announced on Thursday that their preseason opener against the Calgary Stampeders will be held at Starlight Stadium in Victory, British Columbia, on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 1 pm. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Purchase CFL tickets today on StubHub.
“It’s a major milestone for our owner Amar Doman and the entire organization to stage a game in Langford,” says B.C. president Duane Vienneau. “Vancouver Island boasts a very passionate segment of our fan base. Last year’s Touchdown Pacific in Victoria served as a great reminder at our far-reaching Lions fans are across our great province.”
The B.C. Lions hosted the first Touchdown Pacific in 2024 against the Ottawa Redblacks in which quarterback Nathan Rourke completed 21 of 30 passes (70%) for 325 yards, three touchdowns, one interception, three carries for 29 yards, and one touchdown in a 38-12 win in front of more than 14,000 fans.
“The City is thrilled to announce this game and looks forward to welcoming the BC Lions, the Calgary Stampeders, and their dedicated fans to Starlight Stadium,” said Langford mayor Scott Goodmanson. We recognize that large sporting events such as this not only bring significant exposure to Langford but also contribute substantially to the local economy. This event also provides a unique opportunity for residents, particularly youth, to witness professional sports right here in their own city.”
Game day at Starlight Stadium also includes a fun menu of fan activities ranging from musical entertainment to food trucks and a variety of kids games. Season ticket holders will be able to opt in for their seats to the Langford preseason game.
