The Edmonton Elks signed defensive lineman Elijah McAllister and defensive back Daniel Green on Thursday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Elijah McAllister is six foot six and weighs 271 pounds. A native of Asbury Park, New Jersey, attended the New York Giants rookie minicamp in 2024.
Collegiately, McAllister played five seasons at Vanderbilt (2018-22) making 65 tackles (48 solos, 27 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble, three pass breakups, and one interception in 37 games for the Commodores.
Then, he transferred to Auburn in 2023 making 28 tackles (10 solos, 18 assists), three tackles for loss, two sacks, and two pass breakups in 13 games for the Tigers. He was a finalist of the Pop Warner College Man of the Year in 2023 and won the Cliff Hare Award in 2024.
Daniel Green is six foot three and weighs 245 pounds. The 26-year-old from Portland, Oregon, went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Collegiately, Green played five seasons at Kansas State (2019-23) making 232 tackles (162 solos, 70 assists), 31 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, two interceptions for 50 yards, nine pass breakups, one forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries in 52 games for the Wildcats.
In 2023, he made 13 tackles (10 solos, 3 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, and one sack in three games but a right pectoral injury to miss the rest of the season. He was named a two-time All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.
