The Arlington Renegades are set to sign wide receiver Devion Clayton on Wednesday according to Pro Football Newsroom writer James Larsen.

Devion Clayton is six foot four and weighs 190 pounds. The 26-year-old from Wahiawa, Hawaii, was drafted by the Vegas Vipers in the 10th round (76th pick) in Phase 6 of the 2023 XFL Draft. The Vipers released him on February 9, 2023.

He signed a letter of intent with the Vipers before the USFL and XFL merged into the UFL. He ran a 4.34 in the 40-yard dash at All-American Park leading to him getting drafted by the Vipers.

Clayton did not attend college but was a track star and football player at Silverado High School. In his senior season, he made 43 catches for 741 yards and seven touchdowns. He also played defensive back at Palo Verde High School.

As a track star, he won the Flagstaff Mountain T’s Invitational (6.68), the Sacramento USATF U19 National Junior Olympic Championship (21.52), and the Orlando U19 AAU National Club Championships (21.62).
