The Edmonton Elks released defensive lineman Antonio Alfano on Saturday.

Antonio Alfano is six foot four and weighs 285 pounds. The 24-year-old from Livingston, New Jersey, made three tackles in four games for the Edmonton Elks in 2024.

The Edmonton Elks drafted Alfano in the 2024 CFL Supplemental Draft. Edmonton forfeited their eighth-round selection in the 2025 CFL Draft.

Alfano was a former five-star recruit and the fifth-ranked overall player in the class of 2019. Collegiately, he began at Alabama in 2019 but did not play a game for the Crimson Tide.

Next, Alfano transferred to Colorado in 2020 but did not play a game for the Buffaloes. Then, Alfano transferred to Independence Community College in 2021 but too did not play a game for the Pirates. In addition, Alfano did not play football in 2022.

Alfano concluded his collegiate at Lackawanna Community College in 2023 making 14 tackles (12 solos, 2 assists), eight tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup in five games for the Falcons.
