Report: D.C. Defenders to sign linebacker Brandon Bouyer-Randle

The D.C. Defenders are set to sign linebacker Brandon Bouyer-Randle on Saturday according to Pro Football Newsroom writer James Larsen.

Brandon Bouyer-Randle is six foot two and weighs 240 pounds. The 27-year-old from Battle Creek, Michigan, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist), and one pass breakup in three preseason games. Tampa Bay released him on October 30, 2023.

The Washington Commanders signed Bouyer-Randle on November 7, 2023. They released him on May 7, 2024. The Cleveland Browns signed him on August 12, 2024. In 2024, he did not play the preseason due to an undisclosed injury. The Browns released him on December 31, 2024.

Collegiately, Bouyer-Randle played three seasons at Michigan State (2017-19) making 31 tackles (17 solos, 14 assists), six tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 30 games for Spartans.

Next, he transferred to Texas Tech (2020-21) making 52 tackles (37 solos, 15 assists), two tackles for loss, one sack, and seven pass breakups in 18 games for the Red Raiders.

Then, he transferred to Connecticut in 2022 making 98 tackles (34 solos, 64 assists), eight tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions for 70 yards, four pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games for the Huskies.
