The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed defensive lineman Brock Gowanlock to a one-year contract through the 2025 season on Tuesday.

Brock Gowanlock is six foot three and weighs 240 pounds. The 28-year-old from Duncan, British Columbia, made two tackles on special teams in three games for the Montreal Alouettes in 2024.

The Montreal Alouettes drafted Gowanlock in the eighth round (66th pick) of the 2020 CFL Draft. In 2022, he made two tackles and five tackles on special teams in six games. In 2023, he made two tackles and five tackles on special teams in 10 games. In three seasons, Gowanlock made four tackles, 12 tackles on special teams, and one fumble recovery in 19 games.

Gowanlock played for the Langley Rams (CJFL) (2015-16) making 33 tackles (23 solos, 10 assists), 19 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in 19 games.

Collegiately, Gowanlock played five seasons at the University of Manitoba (2016-19, 2021)  making 177 tackles (110 solos, 67 assists), 19 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, four pass breakups, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 38 games for the Bisons.
