Ottawa Redblacks re-sign fullback Anthony Gosselin through 2026

The Ottawa Redblacks and fullback Anthony Gosselin agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2026 season on Thursday.

Anthony Gosselin is six foot one and weighs 251 pounds. The 32-year-old from Otterburn, Quebec, had four carries for 12 yards, five catches for 22 yards, one tackle, and seven tackles on special teams in 18 games in 2024.

The Ottawa Redblacks drafted Gosselin in the second round (18th pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft. In 2023, he made two catches for 27 yards, one carry for four yards, one kick return for six yards, and five tackles on special teams in 16 games.

In six seasons all with Ottawa, Gosselin has made 20 catches for 126 yards, five carries for 16 yards, three kick returns for 23 yards, three tackles, and 23 tackles on special teams in 91 games.

Collegiately, Gosselin began playing for the Drummondville Voltigeurs (2010-13) with 244 carries for 1,244 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Then, Gosselin transferred to Sherbrooke (2014-16) with four carries for 42 yards, 12 catches for 136 yards, three touchdowns, six kick returns for 15 yards, 18 tackles (13 solos, 5 assists), and one fumble recovery in 24 games for the Vert et Or. In his final season, he had seven catches for 115 yards, one touchdown, seven tackles (5 solos, 2 assists), and one fumble recovery in eight games.
