
The Toronto Argonauts signed defensive lineman Bryan Cox Jr. on Thursday.
Bryan Cox Jr. is six foot three and weighs 270 pounds. The 30-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, made 24 tackles, six sacks, and two forced fumbles in 17 games for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2024.
The Carolina Panthers signed Cox Jr. as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2017. He played three seasons in Carolina making 18 tackles (9 solos, 9 assists), three tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery in 19 games. He also had stints with the Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, and the Indianapolis Colts. In Cleveland and Buffalo, Cox Jr. combined to make 13 tackles (10 solos, 3 assists), two tackles for loss, and a half sack in seven games.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Cox Jr. on May 8, 2023. In 2023, he made 11 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble in eight games.
Collegiately, Cox Jr. played five seasons at Florida (2012-16) making 98 tackles (45 solos, 53 assists), 21 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, one pass breakup, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 45 games for the Gators.
