Jesse Love wins the United Rentals 300 in overtime

The NASCAR Xfinity Series kicked off the 2025 season on Saturday with the United Rentals 300 from Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

JR Motorsports driver Justin Allgaier started the race on the pole and Joe Gibbs Racing driver Taylor Gray started second. Allgaier led 11 laps and finished in 18th place, while Gray led a lap.

A late crash on lap 119 involved nine drivers including Allgaier sending the race to overtime. In overtime, Jesse Love of Richard Childress Racing was leading the race when another crash happened as Love crossed the start/finish line before the caution came to win his first race of the season.

The rest of the top ten finishers were Sam Mayer second, Sheldon Creed third, Carson Kvapil fourth, Taylor Gray fifth, Harrison Burton sixth, Jordan Anderson seventh, Dean Thompson eighth, Jeremy Clements ninth, and Patrick Emerling tenth. There were 24 lead changes among 11 drivers and eight cautions for 38 laps.
